Youth employment summit

In December 2015, as part of its contribution towards supporting the Nigerian government in pursuing and implementing policies that lead to poverty reduction, the UK’s Department for International Development brought together key stakeholders in the private sector, government and other donor agencies for a high-level summit on youth employment in Nigeria. Hosted by Policy Development Facility Phase II and the Federal Public Administration Reform Programme, the summit considered youth unemployment and job creation schemes in Nigeria, the impacts of government policies and the role of government in creating jobs with private sector participation. This event report summarises the key issues and themes to emerge from the discussions.
