Nigeria’s ports play a key role in the country’s international trade networks and a development masterplan is guiding the creation of ‘smart ports’ to increase their efficiency. This report presents the outcomes of a study that aimed to identify the main causes of port congestion, provide solutions and recommendations, and produce an action plan to reduce congestion and improve the performance of Lagos Ports.
